Mr. Eric Ayine Aloko, a native of Dagmweo in Bolgatanga, Upper East Region, and a lecturer at the Dambai College of Education (DACE), has etched his name in the institution’s history by leading their athletics team to an unprecedented victory at the 2025 VOLTI COESA Sports Festival in Hohoe.
This marked the college’s first-ever medal in athletics, transforming Mr. Aloko into an instant hero.
Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, a Master of Philosophy in Exercise Science, and currently pursuing a PhD in Exercise Science, Mr. Aloko has seamlessly blended his academic expertise with his passion for sports, creating a winning formula that propelled his team to remarkable success.
Under his guidance, DACE’s athletics team dominated the competition, amassing an impressive haul of 15 gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals.
His athletes also triumphed in the women’s cross-country event, securing a well-deserved first place, and demonstrated their strength in the men’s cross-country, finishing a commendable second.
Overall, the DACE team secured the top spot in the women’s division and claimed second place in the men’s division, a testament to Mr. Aloko’s holistic approach to coaching and his ability to inspire his athletes to perform at their peak.
His outstanding achievements have positioned him as a valuable asset not only to DACE but also to the entire Volta-Oti zone. In recognition of his expertise and leadership, Mr. Aloko has been entrusted with the responsibility of leading the zone’s athletics team for the highly anticipated COESA National Championship, scheduled to be held in Cape Coast. His skills and commitment make him the right candidate for this role.
