The assembly member for Yarigabiisi Electoral Area Adamu Apasinure has initiated the watering of unpaved roads in the area to curb dust emission.
Adamu Apasinure began the watering of the roads on Sunday, December 14, 2025 and has committed to ensure the roads are watered every market day.
The move is aimed at mitigating excessive emission of dust on the road, which has made the stretch a nightmare to road users and exposed them to respiratory diseases.
The Sunday’s watering, which he personally supervised, started from the bridge to the curve near Akantame’s house, close to the timber market entrance.
Since taking office, Apasinure said he has consistently demonstrated his unwavering dedication to his constituents. He said his latest efforts to control dust emission is yet an indication of his commitment to enhancing the safety and comfort of the community. “We urgently call on all duty bearers, including the Bolga East District Assembly and the Roads Minister, to recognize this area as a pressing concern for road users,” he stated.
“The central government must prioritize the completion of this vital road project for the well-being of our community.”
