On New Year’s day, a remarkable display of unwavering civic duty unfolded in the heart of the Yarigabisi Electoral Area. The Assembly Member, Adamu Apasinore, has once again demonstrated his exemplary leadership by personally funding and supervising the watering of the treacherous and suffocating dusty stretch of the road linking Bolgatanga Central to Bawku. Recognizing the immense health risks and the blinding discomfort faced by commuters—especially during the bustling and hectic market days— Apasinore utilized his own limited personal resources to dampen the thick clouds of dust that plague this critical route.
As grateful travellers and weary pedestrians passed by, the air was filled with heartfelt prayers and spontaneous shouts of, “God bless you, Hon, for this wonderful work!”
These poignant words signify the profound importance of having a leader who truly feels the pulse of his people.
While this noble intervention serves as a beautiful New Year gift to the community, it also highlights a glaring and urgent necessity. Apasinure has therefore reiterated his appeal to the government to fast-track the completion of this project.
“ It is imperative that the contractor is called back to the site immediately to resume work. Only a permanent, bitumen-surfaced road will truly ease the chaotic traffic and bring lasting relief to the long-suffering road users.”
