Ahead of this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), Charger Limited, through the Happy Man Foundation, has donated 1,000 mathematical sets to 19 Junior High Schools across the Upper East Region to support candidates in their final preparations.
The 2026 BECE is scheduled to commence on Monday, May 4, 2026, and conclude on Friday, May 11, 2026, with over 600,000 candidates expected to sit for the exams at centres across Ghana.
Beneficiary schools of the 1,000 mathematical sets donation by Charger LTD in the Region include Kalbeo Tindonsobligo JHS, Ayuusi-Yine JHS, SDA JHS, Aningazanga JHS, Adabase JHS, Bolga Experimental JHS, Abilba No. 1 JHS, Anglican JHS, St. John’s Catholic JHS, Preparatory JHS, Zaare English/Arabic JHS, Akantome JHS, Azorebisi JHS, Gambibgo JHS, Yarigabiisi JHS, Dulugu JHS, Presby JHS, Kumbosigo JHS, and Tahiriya JHS.
Speaking on the initiative, Charger LTD Chief Executive Officer, Emmanuel Bortey Borketey described the donation as part of the company’s broader commitment to supporting education and empowering young minds with the tools they need to succeed.
“Education remains one of the most powerful tools for shaping the future, and at Charger Limited, we are committed to playing our part,” he said.
He expressed confidence that equipping students with the right resources positions them to excel not just in examinations but in life beyond the classroom.
