3 delegates of the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Bongo Constituency have been reportedly arrested for breaking electoral laws in the ongoing presidential and parliamentary primaries in the area.
The 3, all males are said to have been arrested after they were spotted taking snapshots of their ballots while in the process of casting their votes.
The police, who responded swiftly after the suspects’ covers were blown, seized the mobile devices which were allegedly being used to take the snapshots and subsequently, whisked them away.
The exercise in the Bongo Constituency is taking place in the administrative capital with 1,137 delegates expected to vote to elect among 3 persons who are vying for the party’s parliamentary ticket and 2 vying for the presidential candidacy.
