Upper East Region’s leading Agro-inputs distribution company Petasgo Enterprise has constructed and handed over two boreholes to two communities in the region.
The two communities namely Anateem in the Bolgatanga Municipality and Zorkor Gou in the Bongo District were selected by the company to benefit from the project which forms part of the corporate social responsibilities of the company.
The two water projects were commissioned on May 15, 2023 which also marked the 51st birthday of the Chief Executive Officer of Petasgo Enterprise, Peter Adongo.
For over a decade and running, Petasgo Enterprise has been in the business of supply and sale of fertiliser and other agricultural inputs and is currently the largest local importer and distributor of fertiliser in the upper east region and beyond.
CEO of the company, Peter Adongo said while the company over the years has worked with farmers in several communities in the upper east and north east regions and supported them in various ways, water was identified as a critical need to complement the social support initiatives being undertaken by the farmers.
“We see water as very important to our farming communities. As a company we have been working with the farmers as our partners and customers. You can give them different kinds of help but water is also very important. So we constructed the boreholes at the two communities for them to have access to portable drinking water and for their household consumption,” Mr Adongo said.

Residents of the beneficiary communities expressed their gratitude to the company and pledged to protect and maintain them for maximum benefit.
