An immediate past Upper East Regional Vice-Chairman of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reportedly been killed.
Williams Akanyele is said to have died yesterday after unknown assailants broke into his bedroom in his family house at Nabango in the Kassena-Nakana West District and shot at him.
The motive for the dastardly act is yet to be known.
Announcing the incident, the Upper East Regional Secretariat of the party said, “The matter has been reported to the Police”.
The party also expressed sorrow over the sad incident.
