Budding songstress Saint Chicago has hit back at critics accusing her of song theft.

Saint Chicago has been called out on social media for allegedly stealing the songs of two other artistes.

The accusations came on the back of the release of her latest single ‘Tinda’.

The two songs by two different artistes – Josh N and D-Blingx – were released years ago. Although with a different title, Saint Chicago’s ‘Tinda’ sounds similar in melody and lyrical composition to Josh N’s ‘Zuha’.

Speaking in an interview on Work Stretch weeks ago, Saint Chicago dismissed the allegations against her and counter accused the said artistes of trying to exploit her promising career to promote their music.

“I think tapping into my grace,  as a female artist on top, is good to tap into my grace. It’s my grace and I’m shining now. So I don’t blame anybody.  How could you release a track four years ago and your music wouldn’t sell?  Nobody heard of Tinda (until I released my song),” she stated.

She said the allegations of song theft are just an attempt to smear her brand and to promote theirs.

“My verses are different. So, why are you guys attacking me? More to the point, all the niggas claiming this song. I’m the babe in this song (theft accusation). You should be ashamed of yourself trying to bring me down and tarnish my name.”
