The Deputy Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for the Builsa South Constituency, Dr. Clement Apaak has commissioned and handed over a brand-new six (6)-unit classroom block along with a 12-seater water closet facility to the chief and people of Gbedema in the Builsa South District of the Upper East Region.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Dr. Apaak stated that “The project represents the fulfillment of a pledge I made to the people of Gbedema, to deliver a modern, well-equipped educational facility capable of supporting quality teaching and learning in today’s world”. He reiterated his unwavering dedication to enhancing educational infrastructure and fostering an environment where students across the constituency can thrive academically.

The Chief of Gbedema, speaking on behalf of the entire community, extended heartfelt thanks to Dr. Apaak for the significant intervention. He called on community members to take ownership of the facility by protecting and maintaining it, and assured the MP of their collective resolve to preserve the property for generations to come.

In a separate event, Dr. Apaak presented 4,348 mono desks and four (4) motorbikes to the Builsa South District Directorate of the Ghana Education Service.

The desks are earmarked for distribution to the district’s two Senior High Schools as well as all Junior High Schools throughout the constituency. The motorbikes are intended to enhance the mobility of the Directorate and SISOs, enabling more effective monitoring and supervision across the district.

Receiving the items on behalf of the District Education Director, Mr. Stephen Akumzeyam expressed gratitude for the well-timed support and committed to ensuring a fair, transparent, and equitable allocation of the items among the beneficiary schools.
