EQUIPMENT USED IN THE DEMONSTRATION

In the Upper East Region and other parts of Ghana’s north, many hospitals lack the necessary equipment to help conduct the needed checks for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

This mostly leads to many cases that could have been managed promptly, either deteriorating or delaying, because they would have to be referred to other facilities outside the region or the zone. These referrals often have health and financial implications for the patients since they are compelled to leave their respective jurisdictions.

To help bridge this health gap, Cassona Global Imaging has introduced cutting-edge medical equipment to help various facilities in Ghana and other countries like Nigeria carry out the right examination.

Some of this equipment includes ultrasound, X-ray, CT, Scanners, MRIs, and a mammography system.

Recognizing that health facilities in the Upper East, Upper West, North East, Savannah, and  Northern Regions as well other parts of Ghana may struggle to purchase such equipment outright, Cassona Global Imaging has designed a special payment plan that will enable facilities to purchase the equipment.

The flexible packages are between 6 months and 2 years, which require facilities to make a 50% or 35% down payment, depending on the package, with the rest spread over the agreed period.

The entity, on Tuesday, May 15, 2025 trained health personnel at the Upper East Regional Hospital on handling the equipment and demonstrated the effectiveness of some of the equipment such as the ultrasound machine in churning out accurate imaging.

Speaking to Dreamz News, David Berko, Northern Sector Sales Representative of Cassona Global Imaging, said that the company hopes to ensure the supply of reliable medical equipment while offering flexible payment terms.

He added that it has engineers, who are readily available, to respond to technical challenges in 24 hours or less once technical issues encountered in operating the machines are reported.

“So, we do not just distribute the imaging equipment to our clients. We have special packages that require the client to be given the flexibility to pay for the equipment that they want. We have designed a payment plan for 6 months and 2 years. The 6 months require that you make a 50% down payment, and we spread the rest; and the 2 years require that you make a 35% down payment, and we spread the rest over 2 years.”

He believes, through these packages, the healthcare gap that exists between the South and the North can be bridged.

“We are in to assist, and I must say the patronage is encouraging. So, we have realized the health gap between this part of the country and the other parts of the country and think this is a perfect opportunity to collaborate and ensure that we also have a standard health system here in Upper East so we don’t have to transport people from here to Kumasi or Accra before they access basic health needs.” He stressed.
