The Managing Director of the Irrigation Company of Upper Region Dominic Anarigide says the company’s clubhouse is being renovated.
The renovation of the company’s recreational centre and other activities being rolled out are part of the new leadership’s attempt to revive and rebrand ICOUR, he said.
The clubhouse is being renovated in partnership with a private investor and was expected to be completed by December 2025, according to him.
But that timeline has been missed and the Managing Director is now hoping that it will be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
“As we speak, the clubhouse is being put to shape. We are working on it. We are even supposed to open it up for Christmas. But we have missed our deadline. We are hoping that first quarter of next year, that place will be open to the public. And we are doing that in collaboration with a private developer,” he state.
Dominic Anarigide, who was speaking in an interview on State of Our Nation on Dreamz FM, also announced plans to revamp the company’s irrigation schemes and digitize them to improve its operations.
He accused previous management of running down the company but said he is determined to revive it.
