The winner of the 2025 Upper East Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Northern Music Awards (GNMA), Saint Chicago, has declared that she remains unfazed by public criticisms about her appearance, particularly her short dresses, tattoos, and piercings.

The celebrated artiste says she has embraced her unique identity and will not be swayed by negative public opinion about her looks and lifestyle choices.

According to Saint Chicago, even though her parents were not comfortable with her style of dressing and piercings, she stood her ground, maintaining that she had branded herself that way long before she became a musician. She noted that her distinctive appearance has been a core part of who she is and continues to define her identity in the music industry.

The ‘Ba Na Zoe’ hitmaker acknowledged that her lifestyle may appear unconventional in the Northern Ghana setting, but expressed that she likes it because it sets her apart from other artistes. She stated that being unique is something she cherishes and sees as a significant asset to her brand as a musician.

“People’s opinions about my tattoos don’t matter. Throughout the whole of the Upper East and Northern Regions, I’m the only female artiste with such large and bold tattoos. People stare at me, but I’m not bothered since it’s part of my brand,” she stated during an interview on Dreamz FM’s Breakfast Today.
