The governing New Patriotic Party in the Upper East Region has extended condolences to the opposition National Democratic Congress over the death of Fidelis Castro Adagwine, Regional Treasurer of the party.
Mr Adagwine met his untimely death in a motor accident on the night of Easter Monday.
He was reportedly crashed by an unregistered Honda Civic Saloon Car at about 10:00pm while headed home after close of work.
The National Democratic Congress in a statement described the loss as tragic.
In a statement signed by Upper East Regional Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party Peter Ayinbisa, the ruling party said “We are deeply saddened to learn of this news, and we share in your grief during this difficult time. Even in this period of pain and bereavement, it is our prayer that the joint reading of Psalm 147:3 and Romans 8:28 will suffice in soothing your pain and heartbreak.
We recognize that losing a member of your party is never easy, especially someone as integral to your operations as your Regional Treasurer”.
The statement added that “Our thoughts and prayers are with you and his family, particularly his wife and children as you navigate this period of mourning and reflection”.
