The National Democratic Congress in the Upper East Region has announced that it is putting on hold all party communication activities in honour of its deceased Communication Officer for Bolgatanga Central Constituency.

The party said this in a statement announcing the death of David Agorogo, who served as Communication Officer for the Bolgatanga Central Constituency until his demise.

David reportedly died on April 22, 2024 at the Upper East Regional where he was receiving treatment.

He was said to have battled a chronic illness  before succumbing to death today.

In a statement signed by the Upper East Regional Communication Officer of the NDC Abdallah Jonathan Salifu, the party expressed sadness over his death.

“We are deeply saddened by his death,” the party in the statement said.

It extended its condolences to the bereaved family, describing David’s service to its cause as dedicated and unwavering commitment.

“During this difficult time, we extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they navigate through this challenging period. May the Almighty grant them strength and solace”.

It added, “In honour of our departed comrade, all party communication activities will be suspended until further notice for his dedicated and unwavering commitment to our cause”.

Meanwhile, a burial ceremony is scheduled to be held tomorrow to lay him to rest in accordance with Islamic tradition.
