Upper East Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party Salahudeen Musah says the optimism of the party to win some identified constituency seats in the region is based on research and a carefully laid out political strategy.
He has mentioned Binduri, Bolgatanga East, Navrongo, Bolgatanga Central amongst others as the identified constituencies which the party is targeting.
According to Salahudeen, the days of a free walk in the park for parliamentary candidates of the National Democratic Congress in Upper East Region are over as he strongly serves notice of a rigorous ground campaign to be spearheaded by the youth wing of the NPP.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Dreamz Fm, the regional youth organiser said “The more you see our national youth organiser in the region, the more it tells you that we are having a lot of discussions and strategies as to how we are going to change the face of the party. This is the more reason you hear me making pronouncements regarding constituencies and how we are going to change them”.
He further indicated that every pronouncement made on a constituency to be won by the NPP is made largely on research and strategy adding “We have been looking at the votes, the data, statistics and how we can do the magic. It is based on these things that we always do that I always get excited and when I come to the region, I speak the way am speaking because I know what we are doing and what is coming”.
The New Patriotic Party currently holds only the Binduri constituency seat after it lost two others it held before the 2020 general elections. The narration, according to the youth wing of the party will be changed in the next election owing to the re-energised, vibrant and motivated youth forces of the party.
