Upper East Regional Youth Organizer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salahu-Deen Musah Al-Khomeini has taken on Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga East, Dr. Dominic Ayine for exhibiting what he is said is incompetence and ineptitude as the area’s representative.
According to Salahu-Deen, Dr. Ayine has failed to live up to expectation and has, since becoming the people of the area’s representative, prioritised the affairs of his party to the detriment of the constituency.
This, he said, has resulted in the abandonment of few developmental projects the MP has initiated, leaving the constituency behind in terms of development.
After such an appalling performance, he argued, Dr. Ayine has no business still seeking to continue being in Parliament and thus, should be shown the exit door in 2024.
He said the NPP has the right candidate in Mathew Amoah to turn the fortunes of the constituency around and will not relent in ensuring that Dr. Ayine is kicked out of Parliament for Mr. Amoah to take over.
“It is the ineptitude, the incompetence that have been exhibited by Mr. Ayine. So many abandoned projects that he started and he is still seeking to lead the constituency.
This is a man that we have to put aside and replace with somebody who has come, he has shown, so far, that he has the people at heart. He has what it takes to change the fortunes of that constituency. And that’s Mathew Amoah,” he stated in on Dreamz FM.
Since the creation of Bolgatanga East from the then Bolgatanga Constituency, Dominic Akuritinga Ayine has been its MP, serving 3 terms.
He has again picked nomination form to contest the NDC’s parliamentary primaries in the area in a bid to seek re-election.
