New Patriotic Party (NPP) communicator Moses Amoah has called for a stronger focus on large-scale development in the Upper East Region, criticizing what he described as overemphasis on small community projects.
Speaking on Dreamz FM’s “Breakfast Today,” Mr Amoah said while initiatives such as grinding mills are useful, they should not be presented as major achievements by political leaders.
He argued that the region needs transformational infrastructure, including improved roads, urban planning and investment-driven projects that can drive economic growth.
Mr Amoah also urged residents to move beyond partisan loyalty and demand accountability from leaders, regardless of political affiliation.
“When you prioritize party over development, you shortchange the region,” he said.
He compared the pace of development in the Upper East Region to other parts of the country, suggesting that stronger leadership and coordinated advocacy are needed to attract significant investments.
Mr Amoah maintained that elected officials must do more to deliver impactful projects that reflect the region’s potential and improve living standards.
