The Yarigabisi Electoral Area on April 27, 2026, witnessed the commissioning of two boreholes and the donation of mathematical sets to BECE candidates by the area’s Assembly Member, Hon. Adamu Apasinore.
The two new boreholes were commissioned at Agungabiisi and Awanebiisi communities. Since assuming the role as assembly member of the area in 2023, Hon. Apasinore has facilitated the construction of nine boreholes in the electoral area—four through the Bolga East District Assembly and five through partnerships with non-governmental organizations. The boreholes are expected to provide clean water access to residents and improve sanitation in the communities.
In addition to the water infrastructure, the Assembly Member donated 60 mathematical sets packaged in five boxes to support BECE candidates for the 2026 and 2027 academic years. The donation is aimed at reducing the financial burden on parents and ensuring that students have access to essential academic tools for their examinations.
Hon. Apasinore stated that the initiatives reflect his “commitment to improving both basic infrastructure and educational outcomes in the Yarigabisi Electoral Area”. He called on residents to maintain the boreholes and urged students to make good use of the mathematical sets to excel in their examinations.
Community members present at the event expressed appreciation for the Assembly Member’s efforts and called for continued support to address other development needs in the area.
