The Ghana National Association of Private Schools (GNAPS), Upper East Regional Chapter, has held its 2026 Proprietors’ Empowerment Summit, bringing together private school proprietors and educational stakeholders from all fifteen districts of the Upper East Region.
The summit was held under the theme: Strategic Innovative School Management, and took place at the Dr. J.K. Awoonor Inset Centre in Bolgatanga.
Distinguished guests who graced the occasion included Hajj Razak Z. Abdul-Korah, Upper East Regional Director of Education; Mr. Gilbert Alolbila, Upper East Regional Director of NaSIA; Mr. Daniel Anaba, Upper East Regional Director of the Department of Social Welfare; Rev. Mrs. Comfort Quartey, Proprietress of Great Victory Academy; and Mr. Didacus Afegra, Former Headmaster of Bolgatanga Senior High School.
The summit featured impactful presentations by facilitators Mr. Vincent Amponsah of Sinapi Aba and Pastor John Kennedy Akotia of Fountain Gate Chapel, who offered practical insights into strategic school leadership, innovative management practices, and institutional sustainability.
In a goodwill message, Vincent Amponsah, one of the Guest Speakers commended GNAPS for its “Commitment to quality private education” and praised the strong working relationship between the association and their respective institutions in advancing educational excellence, child welfare, and community development across the region.
Participants described the event as insightful, inspiring, and highly beneficial, and welcomed the opportunity it provided for networking and the exchange of ideas among private school proprietors and education stakeholders.
The Regional Executive Committee expressed appreciation to all guests, facilitators, participants, sponsors, and partners for their contributions to the success of the summit.
