Upper East Regional Communication Officer of the NDC, Abdallah Jonathan Salifu has rubbished the NPP parliamentary candidate aspirant for Bolgatanga East Constituency, Matthew Silas Amoah’s claim that his achievements in the constituency are comparable to those of the Member of Parliament for the area.

Speaking on State of Our Nation, Abdallah Jonathan said Mr. Amoah has not achieved quarter of what Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine has done in the area.

He stated that, aside from Dr. Ayine’s impact in the constituency as an MP, he has, on his own, made significant contributions to the development of the area.

“If you want to compare what he(Silas Amoah) is doing to Dr. Ayine’s, he doesn’t even come closer. He hasn’t even done a quarter of what Dr. Ayine has done in terms of everything.

One borehole for a whole community, everybody to come and clap hands for you? How about someone who has built an ultra modern 3 unit classroom equally with his own funds?”

He said while Mr. Amoah’s activities in the constituency are commendable, Dr. Ayine has a better track record.

Mathew Amoah, while filing his nominations, on July 20, 2023,to run for the NPP parliamentary ticket, boasted about the impact he had made in the area.

He told journalists that, due to the significant contributions he had made to the progress of the area, residents were now comparing his track record to that of Dr. Ayine in spite of the fact he has not yet been made candidate of his party.
