The member of Parliament for Bolgatanga East constitution of the Upper East Region, Dr Dominic Akrutinga Ayine has filed his nomination on the ticket of the NDC, in readiness to seek reelection.

The former Deputy Attorney General stormed the party’s office in the company of jubilant supporters to submit his parliamentary nomination forms.

The MP who is currently in his 3rd term in Parliament is not enthused with what he described as political ‘starvation’, engineered by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) against him.

Addressing the media after successful filing of nominations, Dr Akrutinga said, “You have seen what I was able to do especially when we [NDC] were in government. The projects that are littered all over the constituency, there is no electoral area in this constituency that doesn’t have a major project”.

“For me to have achieved that in my first term, and I continued that in my second term, and then in my term, the New Patriotic Party decided that they were going to starve me of funds, starve all of us of funds to be able to continue with projects in our constituency. And then for them to turn around and say that we are not performing, it’s for me very dishonest,” he added.
