Parliamentary aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Nabdam Constituency, Zuure Francis Sampana has expressed shock at the outcome of the parliamentary primaries in the constituency.
Zuure Francis Sampana, who was among the 3 candidates seeking to secure the party’s ticket for the 2024 Elections, only managed to secure a single vote out of the 481 valid votes cast.
The incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Dr. Mark Kurt Nawaane retained the ticket to seek re-election in the General Elections after securing 303 out of the total valid ballot cast to beat his main contender, Lamtiig Apanga, who polled 177 votes.
Reacting following the announcement of results, Mr. Zuure expressed surprise over the outcome.
He wrote on social media “FEAR Delegates of Nabdam NDC”.
