A former Municipal Chief Executive for Bolgatanga Epsona Ayamga has died. He was 77 years.
He reportedly passed on at the Bolgatanga Hospital on Thursday April 13, 2023 where he was receiving treatment.
Epsona Ayamga who served as MCE under the late President John Evans Atta Mills was dismissed in 2011 on purported grounds of misconduct and mismanagement.
Several petitions were sent to the office of the President by some members of the National Democratic Congress who accused him of denying them jobs and expending public resources on girlfriends and ‘side chics’.
Subsequently, it emerged that his dismissal was ordered by powerful officials at the office of the President without recourse to the then sitting President John Evans Atta Mills.
The politician kum medical practitioner has been credited for his enormous financial and logistical support to the NDC in the Upper East Region in the 90’s and early 2000’s.
