Ghana’s economy is projected to be valued over GH¢1 trillion in 2024 from the 2016’s value of GH¢219.5 billion, Minister of Finance Ken Ofori-Atta has said.

The Minister, who disclosed this while presenting the 2024 Budget Statement and Economic Policy, said the growth is historic as it will be the first time the country’s Gross Domestic Product will cross the GH¢1 trillion mark.

“The 2024 budget is even more significant because we crossed the GH¢1 trillion Gross Domestic Product mark for the first in our economy history. Ghana’s economy under president Akufo-Addo, in 2024 final year in office, is projected to be valued over 1 trillion cedis in 2024 from GH¢219.5billion we inherited in 2016,” he stated.

Ken Ofori-Atta added that the economy is recovering and getting back on track, assuring Ghanaians of a brighter future .

He has also announced a raft of tax reliefs to cushion Ghanaians and boost businesses in the face of the economic difficulties.
