Businessman and Chief Executive Officer of Charger Limited Emmanuel Bortey Borketey has revealed that his biggest challenge in life and business is the uncertainty of the future.
According to him, the stories of great and influential people who crashed and lost their fortunes overnight compels him to continue to work hard to protect and grow the gains he has made.
“I have seen rich men becoming broke and so anytime I go to bed or step out I say no, I don’t want to see failure. The best friend I have Akbrobeto will come to my house and tell me to sleep because of where I have gotten to. I say no because my biggest challenge has been how I will end tomorrow. If life is about today, I’m very okay but how I will end tomorrow gives me the urge to still carry on,” he said on Dreamz Fm.
Upon starting an alcoholic beverage production business, Emmanuel Bortey Borketey currently owns affiliated companies including Plant Pool, Transport and Real Estate.
He disclosed that notwithstanding his current business and financial standing, he is not in a haste to celebrate the success because of the tendency it has to brew complacency.
“It’s the reason I have never celebrated before because I realize that celebrating small small victories will eat into my mind and I’ll say I’ve gotten there,” he said.
He acknowledged that while it is important to appreciate every success, young people must endeavor to avoid celebrating in a manner that can affect their ability to grow further.
“I’ve never compared myself to anybody. In my little life I believe that the God who blesses me should make me better. I have never been jealous of anyone before and I have never taken a hasty decision that will push me to destination I don’t know. The youth of today always want it quick but life doesn’t come like that ,” he advised
