The Chairman of the Paga Youth Movement, Wenawome Aborah Aborah Wenawome, has commended a medical doctor Dr. Ama Antwiwaa Adu Appiah serving at the Paga hospital for her dedication to healthcare delivery in the area.
Speaking during the opening ceremony of the fifth edition of the PAYOM inter-community unity games, Wenawome singled out Dr. Antwiwaa for praise, describing her service as a sacrifice to humanity.
“We especially commend Dr. Antwiwaa, the only doctor who accepted a posting to the Paga hospital and continues to serve our hospital with dedication and sacrifice,” he said.
“Your commitment to humanity and service to mankind is much appreciated,” he added.
According to him, the doctor would soon be recognized for her commitment to the community.
The chairman also assured visitors, investors and workers living in Paga that the community remains peaceful and welcoming.
“To all those who have come from different places to work, live or invest in Paga, we assure you that Paga is a peaceful and welcoming community,” Wenawome said.
He further praised women in the community for actively participating in the social activities organized alongside the games, including penalty shootouts, sack races and tug-of-war competitions.
“Their involvement added excitement, unity and joy to this celebration,” he said.
The PAYOM inter-community unity games are aimed at strengthening unity and peaceful coexistence among the 13 participating communities.
