Government spokesperson on governance and security, Palgrave Boakye-Danquah says the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) will win the 2024 Elections and retire former preaident, John Dramani Mahama from politics.
According to him, the party’s government has performed creditably well in office and is on course to clinching another victory in 2024.
He said although the party is yet to elect a leader for the election, its delegates will choose the right candidate who will lead them to win the polls.
A victory for the NPP, he stated, will compel the main opposition leader to retire from active politics and become part of the state advisory body.
“I have no doubt in my mind that the delegates will look at the future of the party, the health of the party. The Vice-president has stated that everyone that speaks for him, people that are in his team should make sure that we have a party that is united and together to be able to beat the NDC perennial John Dramani Mahama and successfully put him into political retirement and maybe, he will serve as an advisor for the country going forward,” he stated on JoyNews.
“If you look at the achievements, that’s what we are going to campaign on in 2024. It is unparalleled”.
Mr. Boakye-Danquah said this while speaking on preparation towards the NPP’s upcoming internal elections.
About 10 persons are vying for the party’s flagbearer slot and will face off on August 26 and later in November for a winner.
But Mr. Boakye-Danquah believes Vice-President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the choice of the delegates and will win the presidential primary.
