While the governing New Patriotic Party is yet to elect its leader and parliamentary candidates, the opposition National Democratic Congress and its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama appear set for the 2024 Elections.

In a statement marking this year’s International Youth Day, Mr. Mahama promised to equip the youth with entrepreneurial skills and introduce tax incentives as well as ease the taxes imposed by the Akufo-Addo government to enable local businesses thrive.
The former president, who is seeking to be returned to the Presidency, has since taken his campaign a step further and is now counting to the day of elections in 2024.
In a post on social media underscoring the importance of constitutional rule, Mr. Mahama stated “Constitutional governance is still best. It allows us to peacefully change our leaders if we believe they are not working in the interest of the people!
483 days to go for the verdict of the people”.
