The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Bongo Constituency has congratulated Madam Diana Asoketarige Ayamga on her nomination as District Chief Executive for the Bongo District Assembly, subject to the approval of the assembly members.
In a statement signed by the Deputy Constituency Communications Officer of the NDC, Patrick Anamoo Akuntubgo, the party described the nomination as a reflection of President John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to promoting gender balance in governance, advancing affirmative action policies and increasing female representation in leadership positions.
The party said the nomination is also a testament to Madam Ayamga’s competence, dedication and longstanding commitment to public service and grassroots development.
The statement noted that Madam Ayamga brings strong credentials to the role, having served as a Regional Administrator of the Ghana Education Service and a Trustee of the Teachers and Educational Workers Union in the Upper East Region. She has also served as Women’s Organizer of the Zorko Awaa Polling Station of the NDC.
The party expressed confidence that she will bring professionalism, integrity and innovation to the role, and that her wealth of experience will translate into strategic leadership for the Bongo District.
The NDC also said it believes Madam Ayamga’s tenure will sustain and build upon the legacy of the late DCE for Bongo, Hon. Joseph Akasake Abaa, who served the district before his passing, as it pledged its full support to the nominee as she prepares to take on the new role, and wished her a successful and impactful tenure.
