The Bolgatanga Central Constituency Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Job Aboyom, has dismissed claims that the Member of Parliament Isaac Adongo is afraid to face party primaries.
Responding to such assertions on the State of Our Nation, Mr. Aboyom stated that the MP remains focused on fulfilling his mandate and is unbothered by critics or potential challengers preparing to contest him in future primaries.
Mr. Adongo has previously won the NDC parliamentary primaries in Bolgatanga Central on two occasions, earning the mandate to represent the party.
However, he did not face an open contest ahead of the 2024 general elections, as the party shielded him from internal competition.
Speaking on Dreamz FM, Mr. Aboyom emphasized that the three-term lawmaker is on course to deliver key development projects in the constituency, reiterating that Mr. Adongo has no fear of contesting in primaries.
“For now, I can confidently tell you that the MP is not afraid of any primaries. I can confidently tell you that the MP is committed to delivering development to the good people of Bolga Central. I can tell you that the MP has drilled 102 boreholes in Bolga Central, secured 230 jobs and he has projects at various stages of completion. My interactions with MP shows that he is not scared, he is not perturbed. What he is focused on is to deliver on his mandate and that is what he is doing.” He stressed.
