Vice-President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has inspired hope in final year Junior High School pupils sitting for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

In a goodwill message to the candidates ahead of the commencement of the BECE this morning, the Vice-President reminded them that it is possible for them to excel in the examination, encouraging them to strive for the best.

“I wish all Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates the best of luck as you start your examination today. It Is Possible to pass with flying colours. Go for gold!”

This year’s BECE commenced today, August 7, 2023, with about 600,714 candidates, comprising 300,323 males and 300,391 females from both public and private Junior High Schools across the country expected to sit for the exams.

The candidates have already taken the first paper, Religious and Moral Education and are about to take the second and last paper of the day, English Language.

The exams is scheduled to end on Friday, August 11, 2023.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is vying to succeed his boss, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the governing New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate and runs his campaign with slogans such as ‘It Is Possible” among others.
