NPP Communicator raises concerns over timeline for completing stalled road projects
The New Patriotic Party has raised concerns about the timeline for completing stalled infrastructure projects, including the Bolgatanga-Bawku road.
Issah Sanusi, a party communicator, said government explanations linking delays to debt restructuring do not address the immediate needs of residents.
He warned that prolonged timelines for completion could leave communities struggling with poor road conditions for years.
“People are concerned about their safety and livelihoods, not long-term projections,” Sanusi said.
He argued that the government should prioritize critical sections of the road to provide immediate relief, rather than relying on temporary measures.
Sanusi also questioned the effectiveness of current interventions, saying they do little to reduce the impact on commuters.
He urged authorities to allocate resources to complete the road, stressing that infrastructure development should directly improve the lives of residents.
